yeah, well after reading only part of this page i can already tell that i dont like you... but dont take it personal. maybe the Advance version isnt as great as the original, im not sure, but ive spent more time playing this game than any other and have always loved it... so sorry you seemed to have wasted your time on it. boohoo, go get another game. if the plot was lost on you, its because you lack imagination.

@Kevin:

Never, ever change. Seriously. Please.

True Believers like yourself give me hope that I can still strike it rich one day, by creating the next big Beanie Babies / Magic-The-Kookening / Limited Edition One-of-a-Kind Dusted With Lark's Vomit Nike Air / what-have-you obsession for people to sink all of their crazy into. Because the world clearly ain't never gonna run out of crazy!

I've always thought what would hold me back, in that scenario, would be a sense of guilt at taking advantage of people purely for the purpose of separating them from their money.

But I KNOW, with the help of the Truly Enlightened like yourself, I can totally overcome that annoying bit of consciencedoubt!

Ok you final fantasy 7 fan boy that know nothing of the entire final fantasy series. Oh If you want Logic don't play games stay in Reality don't read/watch Harry potter or any other piece of fantasy

@ Mark Freedman Mode 7 was out way before donkey kong donkey kong used the Super FX Chip.

#1. Neither Celes nor Tera was in love with locke. Neither he was in love with them he was tasked with protecting them, and in his Past he promised he'll protect another girl but something happend to her and her corpse that is being preserver until he find the magicite of the Phoenix Esper in hopes of reviving her.

#2. the Opera House was the most memorial part of the entire series. the Octopus Ultros wave a grudge against the party for beating him earlier in the game. Seltzer is a wondering playboy and maria is a girl he meet and fell in love with. Celes actually had voice lessons in the past.

#3. Confusing Plot? Esper Aliens? Truely you never played Final Fantasy 3, 4, ad 5 The Espers are the monsters you summoned in every final fantasy since 3.

The Party counldn't stop Kefka Once he entered the wiring Triad he was invincible to all attacks.
Espers are no Rocks nor are thy aliens they are a race of intelligent monster who were being used by humans as tools of war so they made a world of their own to live it the emperor and tera's mother enter their world from a weaken seal. When Espers die Their Corpse become Red Crystals called Magicite giving their power to whomever possess them.

Tera's Human Mother fell in love with Medium the Esper. When Tera attempted to communicate with it it activated her Power and Esper form and started her.

#4 Thats emperor Gustav not Voldomoth Noob. That moment was a reference to Hitler to show how evil the Emperor is. Using Hitler's ideal of a a Aryan Super Race using his 2 most powerful members to create a warrior race.

#5 Ultros was like those annoying bad guys that always show up at the worst possible time like Murphy's Law. Ultro's was actually an earlier Squaresoft Character predating even final fantasy.

#6 Strago and Realm are related to *SPOILER* the "Guy with the Dog" Strago is her Grandfather and "The Guy with the Dog" is her Father. The people in this village a called Magi and can use magic naturally they used their magic and in attempt to stop a fire but because they wanted to keep their magical abilities a secret the hesitated to use magic to take out the fire and thus the party had to save Realm from the building.
The story here was the Emperor wanted to butter up the Espers who broke through the seal and destroyed his city so he can kill them to make real magicite after learning the truth how magicite is created. this is when kefka started to get more powerful.

#7 Tera was not abandoned she had very little control of herself in esper and while some party member went to the imperial City of Vector, other remained with Tera.

#8 De-equiping was meant for those who don't buy new equipment that instead swapping character not in use manually it do it for you.

#9 yes the graphics look better on a big television screen instead of a tiny hand held. I mean really now a remake of a game the uses 256 colors on a system with primitive native 3D features made in 1990

#10 Here you go harry pothead fan boy. Banon Wanted the aid of the Espers as the resistance is too small of a force to take on the empire.

in conclusion you new people have no idea of what imagination is. Logic is for science and reality. It's A Great Story Nobody knew the exact location of the Wirring Triad. But Kefka who is mentally insane want this power in by doing so he kills the 3 gods revived them as his servents destroys the world leaving a world of ruin in which he rules as it's god. The Empire was aiming for World domination not world Destruction.

If you are going to play and rate a game you must do so properly. Final Fantasy II, III, IV, V, VI and VII were the peek of the series. The Main Villain of 6 was the most successful villain of all literature and gaming. The Story didn't revolved around 1 character like 7, 8, and 10 did.

#4 - Pretty sure this wasn't in the original. Why the crap did they put in such a silly face sprite on Kefka (I think it used to be blank)?

#9 - Yeah, the mode 7 graphics here were so pointless. Why not just show the mine cart moving along like in Donkey Kong Country? It's not like the shitty first person view is helping you feel like you're in the ride...

Hey now, I don't even know who this "Celes" person is. I just didn't like that you had the character named "Lizo" in your game hook-up with the wrong people!
