Dear GameCola Readers and Staff,

For my first PR stint, with many more I hope to come, for GameCola.net, I tried handing out flyers at a local science fiction/fantasy/science/filk non-mundanes need not apply in person convention.  My boyfriend Michael and I have been attending DucKon for the last several years, and we always have plenty of fun and great memories.  This most recent DucKon was no exception.

Instead of writing an article trying to explain all the things I did and said…ginasorry, but it was mainly panels about Jedi as a religion in Britain, Mythbuster type things like footage of homemade rockets fueled by salami, and MST3K-esque escapades like watching the Turkish version of Star Wars.  Things all for which I have no pictures for since I was too busy having a good time catching up with all my convention friends and odd acquaintances who keep hugging me every year and then I never hear from otherwise.

I did get some old-school Unreal Tournament out of my neglected FPS inner child in the game room; sniper rifles scopes are so cool!  Though, when I realized that twelve year old boys were handing me my ass, I made a bee line for the Scrabble board. My boyfriend wasn’t having it, though.  And this year we actually sat down and talked with people and had a few drinks.  Well, at least some mad scientist from Oxford University who was a total bad ass.

But, anywho, I have some footage of me doing my homework assignment at the convention for Paul, since I would feel guilty doing nothing, having been given the title “PR Manager.” I uploaded my experiences on YouTube under my account.  It isn’t a long video, but I can guarantee there will be at least good music for you to listen to while watching the copy machine.

Take care all, and thanks for letting me into the inner circle of hell.  I really enjoy it.
