LET ME SEE YOUR WAR FACE!
Well, it’s nothing compared to Crytek’s Warface, which is a PC-exclusive free-to-play millitary shooter set in the near future. It’s co-created by Crytek Seoul in South Korea, and it’s targeted at the Asian online market.
According to Eurogamer, the game will be a “cinematic experience with next gen visuals, AI and physics,” which is par for the course, considering it’s based on CryENGINE 3, the latest gaming engine from the venerable series. It’ll have an extensive player vs. environment universe, with co-op and multiplayer missions, as well as the standard player vs. player option.
“Our passion is to always deliver the best gaming experience possible. That’s why we opened our Crytek Korea office in 2008, which today enables us to offer a game that is tailored to suit its market. We’re excited to debut with Warface in South Korea and to deliver a compelling and truly unique experience soon,” said Cevat Yerli, CEO & President of Crytek.
Beyond the hilarious name, I’m not sure what else is there to entice people. It sounds like a cool mixture of Battlefield 2142 and Call of Duty, but it otherwise looks pretty generic.
