Indie Games Summer Uprising is a Thing

Hey, remember the Indie Games Winter Uprising? The event that was held late last year, whose apparent goal was to promote the fact that, sometimes, good Xbox Live Indie Games games get released, too?

The event that was held late last year, whose apparent goal was to promote the fact that, sometimes, good Xbox Live Indie Games games get released, too? (Though, which failed in application, due to the small oversight that 75% of the games showcased epitomized what was bad about XBLIG in the first place?) Looks like they’re giving it a second go, and that go is being given next month!

As the person who got stuck covering the last Uprising (when the only thing really uprising was my vomit), I’m totes wary about another attempt; but you never know. Especially since you, right there, will have the opportunity to determine which games get highlighted. According to Armless Octopus, eight out of the 10 games will be selected by XBLIG developers, but the remaining two will be selected by the unwashed masses, who will be able to vote for their favorite non-puddings from August 1 to the 15th on the Summer Uprising Facebook page.

So it’s completely your fault if something goes horribly wrong again. Don’t screw it up.
