moonIf you had the chance to relive your life, would you change things? Would you try to achieve some grand goal? Could you find love? Fame? Fortune? Or would you realize that sometimes the past is meant to stay the same.

That’s the situation posited by Freebird Game’s upcoming indie game To the Moon, a vaguely-genred adventure/role-playing game in which two doctors enter the mind of a man on his deathbed, revisiting his past life experiences to make them play out better in his memory. In this world, doctors can do that. Check out the trailer below:

According to an interview with Indie Games Channel, there’s no random encounters in this game, or leveling, or even fighting of any kind whatsoever. Instead, the gameplay involves searching through the man’s memories for “mementos” that allow the doctors to visit different memories and alter their course. You know, I’m pretty sure I read this book before, and the guy and his girlfriend ended up time-traveling to when they were both still teenagers, and making weird perverted underage whoopee. Maybe the game’s got it different.

To the Moon comes out this fall for the PC. Check out Freebird Game’s website for more details!
