  1. *is casually perusing description as podcast starts*
    !!!
“Other topics mentioned in the podcast include the fictional stylings of Diana Lily and Isabella,”
    AHHHHHH!!!!!!
Unfortunately, can’t listen to it all now, but I’m so watching this instead of the Super Bowl…

  2. What an excellent podcast with many quotable quotes! I’d like to try the game “Link Rides a Boat.”

Could you please run the recording through a “pop” filter? (Either that or help me figure out what’s wrong with my computer!) I believe the free program Audacity has a “Click Removal” tool for this purpose.

    1. Oh no, you too?! Jeddy asked me to listen to the episode before it went live because he thought he heard some weird background noise, but I didn’t notice anything! Totally my fault.

      1. Actually, I’m not hearing any clicks, either…! Maybe some specific situation will cause it to be clicky, though… And, I had it at the time when I brought it up, and Daniel has it now. I can’t say!

Either way, the clicks aren’t in the original recording, so they can’t really be removed… It’s somewhere between getting encoded, being uploaded to the site, and getting to your speakers. I could try redoing the encoding, though, if you can’t get rid of the clicks.

        1. Thanks for the info. I downloaded the podcast (using the URL embedded in the JavaScript) and now I don’t hear the clicks.

For reference, I’m using Opera 11.61 on Windows Vista 64-bit. Maybe it’s my computer, my browser, my plugins, etc. so I’ll try out a couple things and keep you posted.

          1. Glad you found a solution. I kick it oldschool on Windows XP and FireFox, personally. I had had trouble listening to it in VLC Player, but it was fine when I ran it through encoding again. Not sure if there’s any connection with any of these, but always good to keep in mind.

  3. Hmmm, not really. Don’t know too many good games. Maybe Subspace from Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Or something Zelda.

  4. Yay Michael understood where I got my question from!
My questions are usually from my odd dreams. Mostly nightmares. Wouldn’t you be terrified if in a dream your dad stabbed you in the gut with a butcher knife?

  5. ALSO!:

39:40, or thereabouts: Another way to play old LucasArts games specifically is to buy the old discs off of Amazon or eBay, and then run them in SCUMMVM that way (as opposed to downloading them off of shady websites). A variety of LA games are also available on sites like Steam and Good Old Games, and these releases should work just fine on any modern computer. And, of course, Monkey Island 1 and 2 were both remade and re-released on XBLA, PSN, and Steam.

1:07:13: Proof that Jeddy should do a Let’s Play series.
