Working with IGN.com, I have recently made a walkthrough for Nancy Drew: Ransom of the Seven Ships that combines both a written walkthrough and a video walkthrough. I think it came out rather well, although the videos are smaller on IGN than they are on YouTube.
Speaking of YouTube video walkthroughs, here’s a question for you.
Q: Do you know what’s annoying to video walkthrough makers?
A: When someone has trouble solving a particular puzzle—the metal detector puzzle, for example—and they go to the video entitled Metal Detector Puzzle. Instead of watching the video to see the solution, they post a comment like “omg! i cannoT solve teh metal deetectur puzzle! it is ruuuuull hard!11!! HELP!!! PLS!!!!!”
That’s annoying.
