Capcom recently announced that they are releasing the Mega Man Zero Collection in the US. Normally, I’d report this in my news column, but I got fired from “Carbonated News” for gross incompetence, just like Zach Rich predicted the instant I started writing that column. This is because, as the GameCola faithful know, Zach Rich is always right. Always. About everything. He’s the true genius; I’m the guy who produces a lot of filler to make GameCola look prolific and make Zach look better.
Anyway, I’m not too worried about getting fired, because it means I no longer have to pretend I care about the differences between Grand Theft Auto, Halo and BioShock. (For the record, the main difference between the three is that one is Run Around and Kill People, the other is Run Around and Kill People IN SPACE, and the third is Run Around and Kill People UNDERWATER). Plus, I’ve been generously compensated with a fake news column that will air at 12:00 AM, only half an hour after the old one.
Of course, immediately after getting fired, I ran across a piece of actual news that I can report on. Bleh. Great timing, Michael.
Anyway, Mega Man Zero Collection has already been released in Japan, and the concept is pretty familiar to Mega Man fans. Mega Man X Collection contained all the Mega Man X games for the SNES, Mega Man Collection contained the Mega Man games for the NES, SNES and Sega Saturn, and Mega Man Mania (pictured on the left) contained all the Game Boy Mega Man games, until the game was cancelled. As you can guess, Mega Man Zero Collection contains all four Mega Man Zero games for the GBA.
This is an interesting move by Capcom, because the Mega Man Zero games are the hardest games ever. Putting them all together on the same cartridge basically guarantees that nobody will ever be able to beat this game. I’m serious. I tried beating Mega Man Zero with the infinite lives/health cheat codes activated, and I still couldn’t get close to winning. And that was the easiest of the four games.
Look forward to being extremely frustrated when this game comes out later this year.
Hold the Mega phone. Zero 4 was the easiest of the games!
Hold the phone! There was a Mega Man Zero FOUR?
Yeah!Spoiler But Zero Dies In This Game So The Heroes Of Mega Man ZX/ZX Advent Could Step Up With A Reason To Exist!
Just waiting for the Mega Man Battle Network Collection…
“Mega Man Zero Collection has already been released in Japan”
No, it hasn’t.
Shhh! That’s my job!
What part of “I was fired for constantly reporting false news” DON’T you guys understand?
I blame my my sources for making it seem like a Japan-only game.
i’d like to see a fabricated battle of rock man vs mega man.
I’d like to see a fabricated battle of Michael Gray vs Zach Rich
MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Clearly, you guys did not see last week’s episode of Springer, where Zach and I got into a fist fight over the ending of Super Mario 64. I still have a black eye, by the way.
Rock Man vs. Mega Man: Coming soon to DCW!
…except that that column’s not around anymore. Shoot.
