Just like with the Kinect (and, arguably, the Wii) before it, the videogame industry wants to be absolutely crystal clear about one thing regarding the 3DS: it’s not meant for us at all. It’s not a videogame system for people who actually play videogames; rather, it’s a videogame system for people like this:
On the plus side, at least we learned a lot from this trailer. For example, we now know that the 3DS is “crazy,” “cool,” “awesome,” and “whoaaaa, no way, oh my God!” However, there’s still no word about whether you have to pop your collar before buying a 3DS, or if that’s just optional.
Remember when I said that we’re no longer the target audience for videogames?

Nowadays, it seems like Nintendo games in general aren’t really for hardcore gamers/gamers who want involved story lines. Party games seem to be their staple now, which is fine, so long as the next Zelda installment is up to snuff with Twilight Princess.
