This is not a game for the easily frustrated, but it is for those with little interest in video games. There are six characters each out of four players can choose from….. Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess, Wario, and Donkey Kong. Before the game starts all the players are lined up with purple cubes spinning above your their head. Then each player presses A, jumps and receives a number. The player with the highest number starts first.

The background of the game is laid out like a board game. (such as Candy Land, Tribond, etc.) The first player, once again, has a spinning box placed above their head. The number that they get is how many spa ces that player moves. Their are various types of spaces that one could land on. Such as:

  • A blue space — gives you three coins
  • A red space – Takes three coins
  • A question mark — could do various things
  • A bowser face — which sends you to the evil Bowser
  • A star – Which sends you to Mushroom who may or may not be able to give you a star. etc.

Once each player has taken their turn, everyone plays a four player game. Each game gives you directions before hand, and mostly on the short side. The object of most of these games is to get as many coins as possible, or not lose any coins.

All in all I give this game an eight out of ten. It’s a fun game to play with friends, but not alone, and it can be frustrating.

My Score: 8/10
