Nintendo’s press release kit for Metroid: Other M came with a bunch of large screenshots of the game. I mean, like, really large. Just click on the above logo to see what I mean.
Of course, when you look at the fine print on the press release, it says this:
Please note: screen captures are taken from a version of the game still in development and are provided at a higher resolution than what is available in game.
Why are the press release pictures so much bigger than the game itself? Are they trying to trick people into thinking this game is a lot better-looking than it really is? Are they trying to trick the reporters who are writing about the game to include non-game pictures in their previews?
Or…does this mean METROID WALLPAPER BONANZA???
Yes, that’s right! Here are all the Metroid: Other M screenshots, which are convenient wallpaper size! Feel free to download a couple for your desktop background! Consider it a preview from GameCola, even if all these screenshots are free to news reporters.
Also, there are some pictures that come from a recent trailer that focuses on cutscenes. People have complained we don’t see Samus in her suit in the trailer, but we do get to see Adam, the man the computer in Metroid Fusion is based off of.
Metroid: Other M comes out on June 27, 2010.
