The latest in SouthPeak’s series of “You should buy Two Worlds II because Two Worlds I was really bad” ads has hit the Internets, and you can check it out right here:
So here’s the thing about these commercials. Yeah, they’re funny, and yeah, it’s great that the developers can poke fun at themselves for what everyone (but me!) agreed was an embarassing first try for the franchise. However, after having watched all the ads, I actually don’t want to play Two Worlds II anymore. Instead of another Serious Business romp through Generic Fantasyland, now I want a comedic action-RPG written by the people who made these commercials. Oops.
Maybe I’m wrong, and maybe Two Worlds II will have some intentionally hilarious elements to it. But I doubt it. We’ll find out for sure when it drops next week.
