I’m not going to watch this, because—why would you intentionally put yourself through that? I’m just throwing it out there, for all the people who 1) like rap, and 2) also like videogames. You exist, right? You’re out there, somewhere…?
I think this has something to do with Snoop Dogg getting his very own stage in the upcoming Tekken Tag Tournament 2. For a palate cleanser that’s the exact opposite of this, here’s Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me, Maybe” as performed by corgis:
Ah, so THAT’S why people keep saying “I know we just met, and this is crazy”
Yeah, it seems like a forced meme though. Somebody thought it would be funny and spammed the quote until everyone else did.
Yeah! I was in the same boat–all those memes started making a LOT more sense once I’d actually heard the song. (…During Nintendo’s E3 press conference, IIRC.)
Snoop Dogg has been in True Crime: Streets of LA and in Def Jam: Fight for NY. I’m all for his rapping, and his background arena and everything, IF we can play as him too.
I like how the top related article is one from 2004 where I ALSO claim that gamers don’t like rap music. I’m not sure where this decade-long prejudice is coming from.
