Gamers traveled from near, far, and I Don’t Know Where That Is On A Map to attend PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts, a gaming convention for gamers of all kinds…including the ones that dress up in elaborate costumes to hide the fact that they’re too ashamed of their dorkiness to wear a geeky t-shirt in public. Here’s a modest gallery of a few cosplayers who attended PAX East 2010:

Ah, now this one's for staff writer Michael Gray. Michael, when playing Final Fantasy VI Advance, you're supposed to allow only the one on the right live...not the other way around. FYI.The costume is pretty solid, Snake, but I'll be honest...that is not the best cardboard box I've ever seen.Look! It's Visas Marr, the Miraluka from Knights of the Old Republic II who served Darth Nihilus and uses the Force to see! And she's standing with...um...uh...is it an Ewok?The dude in green doesn't have a letter on his hat! How can I possibly tell which Mario Brother he is?Those huge shoulderpads are actually high-quality stereo speakers.What!? How were these guys allowed in here?? It's because they know the secret: When someone asks you if you're a videogame character, you say "YES!"

This is my first time hearing of PAX East. Usually, it’s the ComicCon or the WonderCon. I will put in on my list though.
