noireIt’s been referred to as a Phoenix Wright game for adults,” but that’s not the only reason I’m posting about L.A. Noire here. (Heck, I’m practically posting in spite of that, because, hello, offensive.) Rather, it’s the faces in this game that I’m most interested in. Check out this new trailer to see what I mean:

Do you get it? I saw people making a big deal out of the facial animations in L.A. Noire before, but I didn’t really get it—until I realized, “hey, wait a second…this is a videogame. You can’t normally suss out the subtle meaning behind people’s words by watching their faces in a videogame. I’m not sure if impressive graphics are enough for me to stomach another open-world open-ended sandboxy game, but it’s the first time in a while I’ve actually BEEN impressed by graphics to begin with.
