I was avoiding all news posts about Brink, because I thought it was some kind of racing game that offers “high-octane thrills” and “true-to-life damage modeling” and “hot girls in bikinis.” I mean, it’s called Brink, for God’s sake; what else could it possibly be about?

Also, it’s made by Bethesda, and not Speedy McRacecars Inc. That really should’ve been a tip-off.

  1. I would have been following this game, but I knew early on that it was a multi-player shooter with a short single-player campaign stapled on. A shame, because it looks pretty.

  2. For the briefest of moments I got my hopes up for “Mirror’s Edge, but with fewer guns.” Then it turned out there were more guns. A whole lot more guns.
