OK, look. I love the idea of courtroom brawling with an actual medieval knight as much as anyone, but I’ll be honest—the game’s generic visual style is gonna take some getting used to. What’s the idea between making it look exactly like a Dragon Quest game, anyway? Maybe they didn’t want the game to look too much like Phoenix Wright, or too much like Professor Layton, so they decided to make it look like neither, instead.
Bah, don’t listen to me. I’m simultaneously dejected that we’ll never see a new PW game here, and also tired of talking about PW all the time. (There, I said it.) I need a drink.
I will be all over this, DAY ONE. Capcom and Level-5, please make some kind of agreement to translate and release this…
I like the style.
It just looks so soulless to me, compared to PW’s sprite art. I dunno why.
Capcom and Level 5 I am begging you to translate this! Please!
Someone should ask the people at the Phoenix Wright Musical Project to talk to Capcom since they got licensed. Maybe they can convince them to bring it to the US. Maybe they’ll get Triforcebun to voice Phoenix too. Probably not, but a fangirl can dream!
If they don’t localize it I will make a Thinker statue, go to capcom and hit the CEO with it. Nuff said.
That was an awesome reference, rizziman33.
It’ll be even awesomer when you hear Podcast #42!
Also @Anon: Actually, we might get a chance to do exactly that sometime soon. But that’s all I’ll say about it right now.
The chance of an English language version being released is fairly high, owning to the popularity of the Layton series. English names for the original characters in the game are down as “To be determined”.
So all hope isn’t lost just yet, I’d wait for Level 5 World for info.
My fingers are still crossed! They’re starting to lose circulation from being crossed for so long, but you never know. They might not fall off.
