Diana’s Fabulous Nintendo World Adventure

The adventure of a lifetime takes me to the most mainstream video game store in the country.

So, as you may or may not know, I recently took a trip to New York City. While there, I saw many subtle advertisements for video games.

But of course, while all the other girls went to Tiffany’s, this girl went to the most mainstream video game place on earth. Yes, that’s right. I went to Nintendo World. And it was awesome.

Attempt dosSeeing all these people made me realize how normal I am.

All creepiness aside, it was pretty cool. Got to test out a couple games: Luigi’s Mansion 2: Dark Moon, Super Mario Bros. Wii U, Nintendo Land, and Lego City Undercover.

Nintendo LandMy friends and I testing out Nintendo Land.

The place was totally decked out for Luigi’s Mansion 2 on the bottom floor…

…but the top floor had some pretty cool merchandise.

LinkNot going to lie, THIS was tempting.

It also had exhibit-y type things.

LinkSpent about 10 minutes looking for myself in this Link collage. I know I’m in here somewhere…

GameboyThis Game Boy Advance signed by Miyamoto was pretty cool too.

LegoDeku Scrub Link and a Deku Baba (plus what I assume are some Kokiri) made of Legos. Yes. LEGOS.

THIS.This needs no further explanation. The. Entire. Animated. Series.

There were also some things that reminded me of my GameCola family.

ReviewAnyone up for a review? This looks sufficiently outside the mainstream.

JeddyRight after we talked about it, Jeddy!

Overall, great place. I had a lot of fun with my friends and saw cool retro stuff, as well as the modern systems that I have yet to obtain. And of course, I splurged and bought Kid Icarus, Luigi’s Mansion, and Spirit Camera. So I didn’t go away empty handed.

Diana is GameCola's resident fangirl of many things, but predominantly Ace Attorney. She has her own YouTube channel where she dates birds (and other animals) and often makes people cry, mostly herself.

  1. I have that Legend of Zelda series on DVD — it’s really corny. Remember that it came out within the same general era as Saved By The Bell. Probably had a few of the same writers, too.
