Nintendo-Adventure-Books-Double-Trouble-Pringles-Special-EditionGreetings, one and all! Today, we have a very special treat for all of our fans. We’re sure you’ve heard of the GameCola RPGCast—our special blend of classic videogames with tabletop RPG rules and gameplay. This time, we’re bringing you the Pringles Special Edition AdventureCast!

We’re taking the classic 1993 Choose Your Own Adventure-style story, Nintendo Adventure Books Featuring the Super Mario Bros. in Double Trouble Pringles Special Edition, and giving it the RPGCast treatment—as well as the “Hacks’n’Slash” treatment! Not only do you get to join the GameCola crew on what is surely a well-written and completely canonical Super Mario Bros. adventure, but they’ll be reprising their roles from previous Nintendo-based “Hacks’n’Slash” installments as well.

So, join guest narrator Paul Franzen as he guides Alex Jedraszczak, Nathaniel Hoover, Diana Gray, Michael Gray, Joseph Martin, and special-guest-star-turned-staff-member Shannon “Z-Saber” Hoover as they choose Mario’s adventure! If you’re ready, just click the play button below to get started. And, if you’d like to follow along, click here to read the book online!

  1. WAIT. I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING.

You know how it says “FORT KOOPA 2,000 FEET (OR 10,000 TOES) AHEAD.”? I decided to convert that into yards. My result was:

    666.666666

  2. Wow, what a doorknob digression! At least we know how an anchor works… maybe…

I wonder if the magnifying glass is the lens of truth (and not simply the Yoshi’s Island item)?

Huh, the royal doorman names aren’t Toad names (like they are in Paper Mario).
