… of the Month: Design Your Own GameCola Merchandise!

That’s right lady and gentleman, it is time for you, the reader, to propose new ideas and the like for GameCola merchandise. I commented last month on the main page comments section about how the merchandise was getting a little stale. The newest thing ever there is pretty much a Loafy Carl t-shirt. I’m willing to bet no one here except for Neal and Paul even really knows what Loafy Carl is anymore. At the very least we should be adding some Pretty in Pixels stuff, since that seems to be our new monthly comic strip.

Design Your Own GameCola Merchandise!

All in all, it seems like the SWAG section could use some refreshment, so let me get right to the point. What I want you, reader, to do, is post comments in this here comments section proposing various ideas for what you would like to see in GameCola merchandise. I know there was a GameCola panties idea, featuring the face of our Associate Editor, Eric Regan, which would obviously be a big hit with the ladies. Anything like that, from t-shirts to bumper stickers to clocks to whatever the hell else they let you make on Cafepress, is fair game. So let me hear your ideas! Seriously, do it.

On a side note, I would like to hear peoples’ ideas on monthly contests for free stuff. We’ve had them at various points in GameCola history, but they never seem to work out all that spectacularly. If you were to participate in a contest, what would it be? For example, would anyone be interested in a Be Careful What You Search For contest, in which Terrence would draw a picture with no caption and it would be the participant’s job to design a possible search phrase to go with that picture? The winner would receive something like a Be Careful t-shirt of their choosing, including one made with the picture and search phrase that he or she made up. Thoughts on this are not only welcomed, they are demanded. I will find you.
