I have some weird news today, folks. The people at Archie Comics were so impressed by my columns about Josie and the Pussycats that they added “Fabricated News” to their list of official media outlets. I’m not making this up; they were unable to figure that this is a fake news column.
And so, Archie Comics sent me a press release today about how they’re putting Sonic the Hedgehog on iTunes. Here are some quotes from them:
Sonic is speeding faster than ever into the new year with tons of digital comics popping up on iTunes just for you! Don’t be left in the dust! Digital comics from iTunes are the way past cool new way to read all about everyone’s favorite true-blue hero, Sonic the Hedgehog, racing to save the day!
Yes, that’s right. Comic books are now appearing on the music service that crashes the computer every time I try to use it. This is probably the greatest idea I’ve heard so far this year. They should release more media on completely incompatible platforms! Let’s release Donkey Kong DS on the NES. Let’s release Beethoven’s “Ninth Symphony” on a telegraph. Let’s release Indiana Jones Five for grandfather clocks, by jingo! That would be way past cool!
So all you people out there who are big fans of the Sonic comics, make sure to go to iTunes and start downloading them! It’s a great way to hear any issues that you may have missed. And while you’re there, make sure to check out the GameCola Podcast, OK?
