Well, I love this: And it’s so relevant, too! I’m not ready to purchase a new videogame console yet either, no matter HOW good the pictures are.

  1. This is the saddest thing I have ever seen. Why are parents so upset over Mario games? And why does Kent Shocknek’s Mii look more realistic than the ones we have now?

  2. Yeah, lady, that’s a sure-fire way to get your kids off your back about buying an SNES – give them a dry lecture about how marketing works. I’m sure they’ll understand completely.
Also, how did they get the late prototype version of Super Mario World?

  3. How are the kids playing a SNES with a NES controller in the beginning?
Super Mario 4… nice. Why did they show the ending to Super Mario (World) here? Spoiler alert, anyone?
“If you miss, the game lets you know your status”. Yeah, “Game Over” was a new feature to SNES.

  4. Might have been early promotional footage. Just like they were showing the SFC, but I doubt they went to Akihabara and picked one up themselves to film.

  5. Ah. So true….
Yet… …parents complaints about gaming and how bad games are for the world, isn’t so, different… ….
