Is it an RPG?

Michael plays three random iPad games. Are they RPGs?

mermaid-dress-upAs I mentioned in one of my recent articles, I’ve been looking for good RPGs for the iPad. So I downloaded three games that are labeled as RPGs and I recorded myself playing them.

In retrospect, maybe my standards were too high.

  1. I run into the problem of games being called RPGs in so many places. I assume there’s just someone there rationalizing it as “Well, you play the ROLE of Sonic The Hedgehog. Therefore, RPG.”

    1. I think the problem is that GameFAQs doesn’t have any staff members who own an iPad or iPhone. They don’t seem to have any clue as to how to classify the games. You’ll notice in the video that they list at least five different versions of Simon as completely separate games, with no connection between them or the original PC game.

Anyway, Christian Porter is here! Time to run away quietly before he realizes this video totally rips off the game ranking system he used in Speak American.
