We’re throwing you for a loop today on GameCola—a TIME loop! On this day in GameCola history, we’re not celebrating a holiday as usual, but are instead celebrating time: its passage, its motion, and its traversal. Whether it be straight, curved, looped, or knotted, the line of time is always an interesting thing to observe, and that’s what we’re here to do today!


May 22nd, 2015—BREAKING: The Great Gameplay Footage Release

The Great Gameplay Footage Release for The Great Ace Attorney! Also known as Dai Gyakuten Saiban, this addition to the Ace Attorney series would have made it too obvious that Nick and friends do not actually live somewhere that may or may not be California, and as such, was never released in the US of A. We understand how confusing alternate timelines can be, so while it may make us sad to never play, at least we can watch these videos.


May 22nd, 2013—Fabricated News: The Xbox One

Have you ever heard of the mandela effect? Every once in a while, alternate universes will cross paths in the quantum foam and leave a different reality where evidence and memory of the original still exists. In this case, the Xbox One was originally nothing but a joke in our timeline—but a parallel universe in which the Xbox One was real got a little too parallel at some point, and now we have the world we see today.


May 22nd, 2012—Can With Oil (iPhone)

In the plot twist of the century, Can With Oil is a game in which you actually don’t want the can with oil. Perhaps it’s a metaphor for the game itself, if Michael’s review is any indication.


May 22nd, 2011—Nintendo 3DS = 3DiSappointment

Despite what Reggie may have said, the 3DS will not actually make you breakfast. As time has rolled on, however, it does have an Internet browser, eShop, Virtual Console, and Zelda games. Is the 3DS still a disappointment? You’ll have to ask yourself that question!
