Podcasts are normally recorded on Wednesday nights at 8/7 Central. This works well for most of GameCola’s staff, as those working at GameCola Headquarters live, eat, and breath Eastern time zone. Every once in a while, however, Jeddy tries to make the podcast more convenient for the staff members who live in outer space, like Matt Jonas or Michael Gray. When this happens, no one ever shows up.

This episode stars Paul “Paul” Franzen and Alex “Jeddy” Jedraszczak as they embark on a journey through the GameCola Podcast Topic Pile before making their way through the mountain of fanmail the p’cast receives on a constant basis. Topics covered in this podcast include but are not limited to:

  • Gaming pet peeves
  • Jeddy and Paul have no friends
  • Jeddy might actually buy a current-gen game!
  • Paul made a game where the main character turns into a coffee cup
  • Oh, wait, that’s right, the site has been updated!
  • OR HAS IT?
  • Just kidding!
  • OR ARE WE.
  • How to pronounce Jeddy’s last name (It’s pronounced “Jedraszczak”)
  • Who has the nicest beard on GameCola
  • How did Avatar Planking make so much money?
  • Jeddy is a total hipster

…And, so much more! Also, we realized after recording that we forgot to address the “Will we ever call another fan” question. The truth is, before every podcast we say that this is the podcast that we’ll do it, and then run way over the allotted recording time. Maybe it will happen again some day! If you’re interested in being called, send your phone number and any topics you’d be interested in discussing to podcast@gamecola.net. Until then, enjoy this podcast here!

  1. Jeddy has good insight about “pointless” repetitive gameplay. I can’t win at StarCraft because I find it repetitive and unengaging.

I don’t feel the same way about the courtroom in the Phoenix Wright series because there’s the element of imminent danger which adds tension.

Poor Paul, his plan appears to have failed thus far. Best of luck!

  2. For those who are wondering I sent the “GameCola Greats” e-mail, I guess I forgot to put in my name 😛 Thanks for answering my questions!

Also, I think I may have actually seen Jeddy come online on skype for this podcast, shortly there-after realizing that I still had his skype account listed from the 10 hour podcast. Heck, I even changed my status message to “GameCola Podcast?” or something like that. Ah well, perhaps sometime in the future.

    1. If you see me get on, it’s usually for the podcast! After we start the call, though, I tend to blank out on everything other than the podcast itself. I’m kind of sad that I missed that, now! I have all the Power Hour contacts still on my list. Maybe I should bump up the priority on the “Actually call someone again” idea.

… Thinking about it a bit, you might have seen me log on to record “SOMETHING ELSE”, but I think I’ll just leave that there and you’ll see what it was soon enough!

      1. I actually may know what you’re talking about, based on podcast knowledge and a certain GameCola member’s blog. But I shall remain quiet on the subject in order not to spoil the event 🙂

  3. 1) That picture is terrifying.
    2) The podcast suddenly ends about 15 minutes in for me! Please to fix!
    3) That picture is still terrifying.
    4) I am either proud or ashamed to admit to having penned the Chuck Rock question, the first videogame crush question, the deal-breaker question, and the pet peeves question.
