In case you hadn’t heard, E3 happened recently. For that reason, we called together a podcast to briefly talk about E3 and then go on about Disney and other stuff. If nothing else, it gave us a clever name for the podcast. Join Alex Jedraszczak, Michael Gray, Christian Porter, and Joseph Martin as they briefly stay on topic and then go on to talk about such exciting things as:
- How copyright issues affect gaming
- Disney helped pass legislation to keep their characters from becoming public domain
- Disney helped pass legislation to prevent paid sick days in Florida
- Magic Pengel and Freakyforms
- How many polygons do games need?
- The Western need for realistic graphics made some hideous games early on
- Will games be too realistic in the future?!
- Technical limitations of the Nintendo Entertainment System
- What happens to digital games when the services are shut down?
And, so much more! Look at that, we even mostly talked about games! You guys like games, right? Or, do you just come here for the cola?
Sorry to disappoint, but I do know the Ace Attorney games… I just haven’t played them all yet.
The stories in the cases I mean.
More harmonica next time, please! I think every time you guys go off-topic, Joe should play the off-topic song on his harmonica until you stop talking about Disney.
Hey, stop making fun of me, Michael Gray! I’m broke! And I like dating sims.
You know what guys, what if I just quit? You’d never know anything. 😉 Do not mock the fangirl.
And for the record, I don’t think I ever said anything about expecting people who haven’t played before to commentate with me. That was all you, Michael.
Don’t stop the Ace Attorney posts! I’m reading them!!
See? Someone appreciates me!
You can’t quit! You provide like a third of our content! Plus, who will help me keep Michael in line when he starts accusing the government of being behind everything in Virtue’s Last Reward?
Haha, I know. Don’t worry. You’d better hope Nathaniel is as good at keeping him in line as we are 🙂
I’m an enabler…
OBJECTION!
(1) I like Mega Man 2. I think it’s very good. But considering the shortcomings (such as the sprite flicker issue you discussed), I also think it’s grossly overrated, especially when it’s so often held up as an amazing masterpiece of perfection, and the other 100+ Mega Man games are worthless trash. Except maybe MM3.
(2) There’s no copy protection in the KQIII remake! Everything you need for the spellmaking challenges is provided in-game. Jeez, Michael, read my articles when you read my articles. :p
All I remember about your KQIII article is a Muppets joke! And I read about the KQIII Copy Protection on TVTropes, so I parroted the information in an attempt to sound smart. Only really smart people know about games from the 1980’s!
So, how long before Jeddy goes mad with power?
Hahaha, that would never happen! Just ask the staff. I’m sure they won’t say anything bad about my reign of terror. Isn’t that right, guys?
…Yes, sir. Anything you say, sir.
Yeah, he’s great… heh.. heh…heh… (save us!) (I kid, I kid)
Everyone, run while you still can.
It’s too late for us, Rizzi, save yourself! 😉
