We like our holidays, here at GameCola. We celebrate by posting articles topical to the theme of the day. Some holidays, however, we celebrate more than others.

March 10th is one of those holidays.

We’re going to party like it’s 2011! Celebrate together with us on this day of love and videogame announcements.

March 10th, 2015—Regeria Hope on Kickstarter

We love Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorneys, and all related subject matter here at GameCola.net: Gaming Outside the Mainstream—So it makes sense that we’d be excited about a similar game about another attorney! On this day two years ago, we announced the Kickstarter campaign for Regeria Hope. Ever wonder what happened with that one? You can check out the first episode on Steam!

March 10th, 2014—Surprisingly-Not-Fabricated News: Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn

In other videogame crowdfunding news, the campaign for Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn is not only real, but successfully funded! Sadly, despite three years of development, the game has still yet to be released. You can keep up with the progress at their official website. Maybe we’ll have something to celebrate next March 10th?

March 10th, 2013—Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward – Part 1: Color Theory and Cavewoman Hookers

Wow, March 10th was a blowout in 2013! We started one of our most popular Let’s Plays: the sequel to 999, Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward. I’d say your holiday is set (plus half of tomorrow) if you want to watch the whole playlist, but we haven’t even gotten to the big celebration!

March 10th, 2011—We Dare: Flirty Fun for NO ONE

Let’s get this 2011 celebration started! First up is the news that We Dare, Ubisoft’s sexy party game, would no longer be released in the UK following a rating of PEGI 12+—implying that it’s appropriate for children as young as 12 to kiss and spank each other at the behest of a Wii console. I’m actually not sure how this celebrates March 10th. Let’s move on!

March 10th, 2011—Bastion Coming to XBLA this Summer!

This is more like it! As with all the other game announcements we’ve made on March 10th, we brought you news of Bastion, a game that would go on to win Most Innovative in the 2011 GameCola Videogame Awards!

March 10th, 2011—Five Videogame Reviews

Still not enough videogames for you? How about five reviews in one?! Michael really gets into the spirit with these reviews of Phantasmat, Ella’s Hope, World Mosaics IV, Mushroom Age, and Jewel Match 3.

March 10th, 2011—Gameloft Releasing New Gauntlet Game for PSN!

We still aren’t done with the game announcements?! Here we bring you the latest Gauntlet game for…wait, this isn’t a new Gauntlet game. This is Dungeon Hunter: Alliance. Either way, Gameloft released a new game in 2011 and we brought you the news first! Or, second. Well, we brought you the news one way or another.

March 10th, 2010—GDC 2010: Day Two

2011 might be done, but 2010 was no slouch, either. First up, Michael Gray summarizes the events of the second day of the 2010 Game Developers Conference. He doesn’t really seem to be much in the spirit, though. What a difference a years makes!

March 10th, 2010—GC Podcast #17 on YouTube: Casting Our Own Pods

And finally, to wrap up our March 10th events, we bring you the YouTube reposting of our 17th podcast! Wow! Here we are, almost 90 podcasts later, and we’re still celebrating March 10th. Let’s take a moment to reflect on that while we listen to this classic GameCola podcast in which we didn’t actually talk directly to one another.
