• … of the Month: Reviewing Hentai Games

I've been wondering lately, over the last 17 months or so, what direction I should take my GameCola work in. You see, I've never been a huge fan of my reviews, finding a lot of them boring, among other things. So I thought, what have I done that's actually been interesting? And then it dawned on me: One of my most popular reviews of all time was of Jewel Knights Crusaders, a PC game in a...specific genre, which was given to me as a gift by our own Editor-in-Chief, Paul Franzen.

  • Minus the Pudding: The Best of Xbox Live Indie Games

Videogames have long been considered a form of escapism, a way for us nerds to (pretend to) leave our couch, put on a pair of pants, and leave our tedious lives behind so we can instead wander around a desert for hours and hours and hours in search of a goddamn save point, because we seriously just want to go to bed, but we can't, because WHERE'S THE SAVE POINT?! It's been HOURS since we last saved and we don't want to leave our system on all night, because who KNOWS what could happen then, so we keep playing and playing and FINALLY! Look! There's a save point! Only, before we can access it, we're forced into a boss battle and DIE because the stupid boss is IMPOSSIBLE to beat, and then we have to go to our last save point, which was so long ago that we don't even remember it!

  • Flash Flood: Epic Mario

Epic. It's a word that's tossed around more than cabers in Scotland. EPIC WIN. EPIC FLAIL. "Dude, your snow cone is epic." It's hard to tell if the Internet even knows what epic really means anymore.

  • Gamera Obscura: Pac-Boy & Mouse

You can barely find any knowledgeable source of information on this game, it's so lost in the bowels of time. But from what I gathered from the awful introduction is that a mouse has been beating up your girlfriend and now you, in your fit of rage, are solely devoted to avenging her by squashing all mice.

  • Minus the Pudding: The Best of Xbox Live Indie Games

Forgive me, my dear readers, but after playing Enchanted Arms, I don't think I can go back to playing Xbox Live Indie Games. You might've seen this coming, considering how I described the game in my review, with phrases like "one of my new favorite videogames," "I had the freakin' time of my life," and "as he beckoned toward me with his throbbing, engorged, magically possessed right arm, I felt the waves of passion finally overtake me. 'Atsuma!' I cried, not sure if it was in pleasure or in pain. 'Take me! Take me now! Show me now what that arm of yours can really'"–you get the idea.
