• Xbox Live Indie Games Return to Earth!

You heard it here first! Or, possibly second, if you've visited Kotaku this morning...or third, if you turned on your Xbox... Anyway, my point is that Microsoft has caved, and they put Xbox Live Indie

  • XBLI Games Now Impossible to Find

This probably doesn't affect you, because you didn't know that Xbox Live Indie Games were a thing, despite my best efforts; but now, thanks to the 360's latest dashboard update, they really won't be a

  • Versus Mode: Maturity Filters, 3D Glasses, Privates, and More

Former GC staff writer Matthew Fraser and current staff member Jeff Day discuss whether games should have "maturity filters," wearing 3D glasses, the sex-ed side-scroller Privates, and more.

  • Minus the Pudding: The Best of Xbox Live Indie Games

Videogames have long been considered a form of escapism, a way for us nerds to (pretend to) leave our couch, put on a pair of pants, and leave our tedious lives behind so we can instead wander around a desert for hours and hours and hours in search of a goddamn save point, because we seriously just want to go to bed, but we can't, because WHERE'S THE SAVE POINT?! It's been HOURS since we last saved and we don't want to leave our system on all night, because who KNOWS what could happen then, so we keep playing and playing and FINALLY! Look! There's a save point! Only, before we can access it, we're forced into a boss battle and DIE because the stupid boss is IMPOSSIBLE to beat, and then we have to go to our last save point, which was so long ago that we don't even remember it!

  • Minus the Pudding: The Best of Xbox Live Indie Games

Forgive me, my dear readers, but after playing Enchanted Arms, I don't think I can go back to playing Xbox Live Indie Games. You might've seen this coming, considering how I described the game in my review, with phrases like "one of my new favorite videogames," "I had the freakin' time of my life," and "as he beckoned toward me with his throbbing, engorged, magically possessed right arm, I felt the waves of passion finally overtake me. 'Atsuma!' I cried, not sure if it was in pleasure or in pain. 'Take me! Take me now! Show me now what that arm of yours can really'"–you get the idea.

  • Zombie Sniper 3D (X360-XBLI)

Every now and then the promise of a sub-$3 game will overtake me and I'll browse through the Xbox Live indie game selection to see what's available. Though, I usually stop looking after seeing a neve

  • Minus the Pudding: The Best of Xbox Live Indie Games

I received a lot of criticism for my last edition of "Minus the Pudding," in which I alternately defined the word chefoo as "a made-up word," "a missed opportunity," and "a really great Xbox Live Indie Game." This upset a lot of people—especially one reader in particular who e-mailed me several helpful suggestions for where he thought I could stick my chefoo—because none of those definitions are actually correct.

  • Minus the Pudding: The Best of Xbox Live Indie Games

I'm famous. It comes with the territory of running, editing, and writing for a website on the Internet.

  • Minus the Pudding: The Best of Xbox Live Indie Games

This is only the second edition of "Minus the Pudding," but already I find myself wondering if, instead of playing these games, I'd be better off playing with actual pudding. Actual pudding may not have the solid AI of the day's top videogames, and it certainly has less replay value (eww), but it is delicious, and it's a lot more entertaining than most of the Xbox Live Indie Games I've been playing over the past several weeks.
